Temporary Road Closure at East All Saints Street for AARCH Society Heritage Center Grand Opening

Frederick, MD – Residents and visitors should be aware of a temporary road closure on East All Saints Street scheduled for October 17, 2026, as the City of Frederick prepares for the grand opening of the AARCH Society African American Heritage Center. The closure will take place between South Carroll Street and the East All Saints Street Parking Garage from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The city anticipates heavy pedestrian traffic due to the opening festivities, which will run from noon to 5 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and adhere to all posted traffic-control devices and temporary signage in the area during this time.

Despite the road closure, the East All Saints Street Parking Garage, located at 125 East All Saints Street, will remain accessible to the public, maintaining regular operating hours and pricing. The AARCH Society’s grand opening is expected to attract a significant number of attendees, prompting the city to take precautionary measures to ensure public safety and smooth traffic flow.
