Mount Airy, MD – Flight Fiber by Antietam Broadband has entered the final phase of its fiber installation project, which aims to provide high-speed internet access to residents throughout the town. According to the Town of Mount Airy, crews will be working in several neighborhoods, including those off Ridge Avenue, Park Avenue, East Ridgeville Boulevard, and Back Acre Circle.
The project will impact areas such as Merridale Gardens, Wildwood Park, Troon Circle, Conestoga Court, Windy Knoll, Twin Arch Crossing, and Brittany Manor. Residents can expect to see utility markings and trucks labeled with “Flight Fiber” as the installation progresses.
Installation work will involve digging small sections and directional boring to lay fiber wires and boxes in existing utility easements, along with necessary work on overhead lines. The town has assured residents that all disturbed grass patches will be repaired to the best of the crews’ abilities.
Residents with questions or concerns regarding the installation can contact the Town of Mount Airy at 301-829-1424 for further information.
