The Town of Mount Airy is seeking volunteers to help prepare Main Street for the upcoming holiday season. A community decorating event is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, at 10 a.m., with participants meeting at the Mount Airy Caboose, located at 2 N. Main St.
Volunteers will assist in tidying up and adding seasonal decorations to Downtown Mount Airy. To ensure a comfortable experience, participants are encouraged to bring water, gloves, and warm clothing. Students looking to earn service hours are especially welcome to join the effort.
Those interested in volunteering can sign up by emailing Main Street Manager Graceful Action at gaction@mountairymd.gov or by scanning the QR code found in the promotional flyer for the event. This initiative highlights the town’s commitment to fostering community spirit and beautifying local spaces as the holiday season approaches.
