Flight Fiber by Antietam Broadband to Continue Installing Fiber

MOUNT AIRY, MD – Flight Fiber, a division of Antietam Broadband, is set to expand its fiber internet installation throughout Mount Airy, focusing on several key neighborhoods. Beginning immediately, crews will be working diligently in areas including East-West, Westridge, Main Street, Buffalo Road, Sterling Glen, and Summit Ridge, as well as all communities on the Frederick County side of the town.

Residents should anticipate seeing utility markings and trucks displaying the “Flight Fiber” branding as crews perform their work. The installation process will involve digging small sections and utilizing directional boring techniques to lay fiber wires and boxes within existing utility easements. Antietam Broadband has assured the community that all grass patches disturbed during the installation will be repaired to the best of their ability.

The initiative aims to enhance internet connectivity for residents, promoting faster and more reliable service. As technology continues to advance, providing robust internet access is critical for both residents and local businesses. The project reflects a commitment to improving infrastructure and connectivity for the community.

For any questions or concerns regarding the installation process, residents are encouraged to contact the Town of Mount Airy at 301-829-1424. The local government remains committed to keeping the community informed throughout this important project.
