National Night Out Scheduled for August 4 at Urbana District Park

Frederick County residents are invited to join the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office and their neighbors for National Night Out, an annual event designed to promote community engagement and strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the public. The event will take place on Tuesday, August 4th, from 5 PM to 8 PM at Urbana District Park.

This year’s festivities will feature a variety of activities for all ages, including a friendly Deputies vs. Community Kickball Game set for 6 PM. Participants and spectators alike can enjoy the spirited competition, which promises to foster camaraderie and fun within the community. “National Night Out is a wonderful opportunity for residents to connect with their local deputies and learn more about the services we provide,” said a spokesperson from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.

In addition to the kickball game, attendees can explore law enforcement and emergency response vehicles up close, providing a unique glimpse into the tools used for public safety. Families will also appreciate the complimentary face painting for children and an array of delicious food options from local vendors, including Pretzel and Pizza Creations, Mt Airy Mocha Mobile Coffee Bar, and Glamourview Creamery.

As the evening unfolds, residents can engage with community partners and discover resources available to them. This event not only highlights the importance of community safety but also emphasizes the value of building strong neighborhood ties. Don’t miss out on a night filled with fun, food, and community spirit!
