National Night Out Scheduled for August 4 at Urbana District Park
Frederick County residents are invited to join the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office for National Night Out, an annual event designed to promote community-police partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. The festivities will take place on Tuesday, August 4th, from 5 PM to 8 PM at Urbana District Park, providing an opportunity for families to come together for an evening of fun, food, and friendly competition.
This year’s highlights include a unique Deputies vs. Community Kickball Game, scheduled to kick off at 6 PM. Participants can join in or cheer from the sidelines as local deputies take on community members in a spirited match that promises to entertain all ages. In addition to the game, attendees will have the chance to meet their local deputies and engage with various community partners, fostering relationships that strengthen public safety and community bonds.
Guests can also explore law enforcement and emergency response vehicles up close, offering a unique perspective on the tools and technologies used to keep Frederick County safe. For families, there will be free face painting for children and a variety of delicious food options from local vendors, including Pretzel and Pizza Creations, Mt. Airy Mocha Mobile Coffee Bar, and Glamourview Creamery. With activities for everyone, National Night Out is set to be a memorable evening that brings together the community.
