National Night Out Event Set for August 4 at Urbana District Park
Frederick County residents are invited to join the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office for the annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4th, from 5 PM to 8 PM at Urbana District Park. This community event aims to strengthen the relationship between local law enforcement and the public, fostering a sense of camaraderie and safety among residents.
This year’s festivities will feature a variety of engaging activities for all ages, including a friendly kickball game pitting deputies against community members, scheduled to start at 6 PM. Participants and spectators alike can enjoy an evening filled with fun, food, and friendly competition, making it a perfect opportunity to connect with neighbors and local law enforcement.
Attendees will have the chance to meet their local deputies and learn more about the community partners that contribute to public safety. Families can also look forward to free face painting for children, as well as the opportunity to explore law enforcement and emergency response vehicles up close. Food options will be plentiful, with local vendors such as Pretzel and Pizza Creations, Mt. Airy Mocha Mobile Coffee Bar, and Glamourview Creamery on site to provide delicious treats.
