Intro. to SHAREit! Maryland’s New Interlibrary Loan Platform

Frederick County Public Libraries is set to introduce SHAREit!, a new interlibrary loan platform, during an event on November 19, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. The demonstration will take place at the Walkersville Branch Library, where attendees can learn about the features and benefits of this resource-sharing system.

The SHAREit! platform aims to enhance access to library materials by allowing users to borrow items from various libraries across Maryland. Participants are encouraged to bring their electronic devices to engage with the platform during the demonstration, providing a hands-on experience.

This initiative highlights the county’s effort to improve library services and streamline the borrowing process for residents. The event is targeted at adults looking to familiarize themselves with the new system and to maximize their library experience.

The demonstration will be held in the Darrell L. Batson Community Room, providing a space for community members to gather and learn about the updated interlibrary loan process. For those interested in expanding their access to library resources, this event presents a valuable opportunity to understand how SHAREit! will work.
