Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Welcomes New Correctional Officers
Frederick County, Maryland – The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) proudly celebrated the graduation of its 56th Correctional Academy, Class 26-56, last week. After weeks of rigorous training and dedication, the newest members of the FCSO officially took their oath and are now prepared to serve at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
This graduation marks a significant milestone for the FCSO as it expands its team of skilled professionals committed to maintaining safety and security within the detention facility. The new Correctional Officers have undergone extensive training to equip them with the necessary skills to handle the challenges of their roles effectively.
The FCSO recognizes the hard work and commitment of the following officers who have joined the ranks: Officer Nicholas Brown, Officer Jennifer Kuhn, Officer Jasmin Texnieto, Officer Mackenzie Burkett, Officer Luis Gandara, Officer Noah Hamburg, Officer Connor Thompson, Officer Fidelis Fonda, Officer Remy Cook, Officer Chance Aldridge, and Officer Luke Kaas. Special recognition was given to Officer Luke Kaas for receiving the Sheriff’s Office Award of Academic Excellence, and to Officer Mackenzie Burkett for achieving the Physical Training Award.
As these new officers begin their careers, the FCSO and the entire Frederick County community extend a warm welcome. Their dedication to service and commitment to upholding the law will undoubtedly contribute to the safety and well-being of our community.
