The Frederick Police Department is set to hold an Administrative Hearing Board on September 30, 2026, as part of its adherence to Maryland law. This hearing allows police officers to contest the findings of internal affairs investigations or decisions made by the Administrative Charging Committee.
The proceedings will take place at the Frederick Police Department headquarters, with the doors opening at 7:30 a.m. and the hearings starting at 8 a.m. The public is invited to attend, although it is important to note that some portions may be conducted in closed session, in accordance with Maryland Public Safety Article § 3-106(e) and Maryland General Provisions § 3-305(b).
Seating for the hearing will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and attendees are reminded that audio or video recordings of the proceedings are prohibited. Noncompliance with this rule may lead to removal from the viewing area.
