Build and Play: A Fun Educational Event for Young Children

Frederick County, Maryland, is excited to announce an engaging event designed specifically for our youngest residents and their caregivers. The “Build and Play” event will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 10:45 AM to 11:15 AM at the C. Burr Artz Public Library. This event promises a morning full of creativity and learning through play, perfect for children aged birth to five years.

During this interactive session, caregivers are invited to join their little ones in using the library’s extensive collection of blocks and building toys. This hands-on experience not only fosters imagination but also helps children develop essential fine motor skills in a fun and relaxed environment. It’s an excellent opportunity for parents and guardians to engage with their children while nurturing their growth and curiosity.

The “Build and Play” event falls under the categories of Education & Enjoyment and STEM, highlighting its focus on both learning and play. Participants will gather in the Programming Room (CBA) of the library, ensuring a comfortable and dedicated space for exploration and creativity. This event is free and open to families within the community, promoting togetherness and early childhood development.
