Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Welcomes New Correctional Officers

Frederick County, Maryland – The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) proudly welcomed its newest members last week with the graduation of the 56th Correctional Academy, Class 26-56. After weeks of rigorous training and unwavering dedication, ten new Correctional Officers took their oaths, marking the beginning of their careers at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.

The newly sworn officers include Nicholas Brown, Jennifer Kuhn, Jasmin Texnieto, Mackenzie Burkett, Luis Gandara, Noah Hamburg, Connor Thompson, Fidelis Fonda, Remy Cook, and Chance Aldridge. Each officer has demonstrated a commitment to public service and readiness to uphold the law within the Frederick County community.

Among the graduates, special recognition was given to Officer Luke Kaas, who received the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Award of Academic Excellence for his outstanding performance during training. Officer Mackenzie Burkett also earned accolades, receiving the Physical Training Award for her exceptional physical fitness and endurance.

As these officers embark on their new roles, they will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and security of the Frederick County Adult Detention Center and the community at large. The FCSO extends its congratulations to all graduates and looks forward to their contributions to public safety.
