Press Paws! Therapy Dogs For Teens (ages 11-18)

Frederick County, Maryland, is excited to announce an engaging and therapeutic event for teens aged 11 to 18. On November 2, 2026, the Urbana Regional Library will host “Press Paws! Therapy Dogs for Teens,” an opportunity for local youth to unwind and relieve stress through the simple joy of interacting with therapy dogs.

This event, which runs from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, invites students in grades 6-12 to take a break from their studies and enjoy some quality time with these lovable canines. Whether it’s a quick five-minute cuddle session or a full hour of snuggles, participants are encouraged to stay as long as they need. The presence of therapy dogs has been shown to reduce stress and foster relaxation, making this program a perfect addition to the busy lives of teenagers.

The therapy dogs will be provided by Wags for Hope, a local organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals through the unconditional love of dogs. The event will take place in the Small Conference Room on the library’s second floor, Room 302, providing a cozy environment for teens to connect with the dogs and each other.
