The Frederick County Health Department will hold its second rabies vaccine clinic of the year on Sunday, October 4, from 2 to 4:30 PM at Thurmont Community Park. The clinic is open to all dogs, cats, and ferrets aged three months and older. Vaccinations will be available for a fee of $10 per animal.
Residents interested in attending the clinic should note that payment will only be accepted in cash or by check. The Health Department confirmed that the event will take place regardless of weather conditions.
For any questions regarding the clinic, residents can contact the Frederick County Health Department at 301-600-1717. This initiative aims to promote pet health and community safety by ensuring local pets are vaccinated against rabies.
In addition to the rabies clinic, the Health Department has scheduled a medication disposal event for October 24, which will offer residents an opportunity to safely dispose of unused or expired medications.
