Frederick Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on September 26, 2026, at approximately 9:20 p.m. in the 100 block of Hope Circle. Officers arrived at the scene following reports of gunfire and discovered that an adult male victim had already been transported from the location in a vehicle.
The victim was later located at a nearby hospital, where he is currently listed in critical but stable condition. Authorities are working to gather more information regarding the incident and are urging residents and businesses in the surrounding area, including those on Pennsylvania Avenue and Hamilton Station, to review any security or surveillance footage recorded between 9:10 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
