Man Arrested in Urbana For Shots Fired Incident

Per the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office: At approximately 9:30 a.m. today, Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 3800 block of Braveheart Drive for an unknown emergency. Upon arrival, gunshots were heard coming from a single-family residence.

Deputies established that the male caller, identified as Adrienne Mendoza Milam, 48, of Frederick was the sole occupant of the residence. A perimeter was established to prevent Milam from leaving his residence. Frederick County Emergency Management utilized a reverse 911 to inform residents of the incident and request that residents remain clear of the area for their safety.

While deputies were on the scene, Milam continued to fire shots from inside the residence. Deputies attempted numerous methods to contact Milam but were unsuccessful.

After approximately one hour, deputies were able to contact Milam. Deputies instructed Milam to exit the residence. Milam complied and was taken into custody without incident.

Frederick County Division of Fire Rescue Services (DFRS) conducted a precautionary check of Milam and transported him to Frederick Health Hospital for an Emergency Evaluation, where he currently remains.

As a result of the incident, an arrest warrant has been issued for Mr. Milam charging him with the following:

•Three counts of Reckless Endangerment
•Firearm Possession by a Convicted Felon
•Illegal Possession of a Regulated Firearm
•Illegal Possession of Ammunition
•Possession of CDS with a Firearm
•Violation of an Extreme Protective Order

incident. The collaborative response ensured that community members and first responders remained safe as this event unfolded.
