Urbana Lodge will close its doors later this month, with a new restaurant concept from the same ownership set to take over the Worthington Boulevard space, according to MoCo Show.
The restaurant, located at 3335 Worthington Blvd. in Urbana, announced that its final day of operation will be Sunday, September 27. Urbana Lodge opened in the summer of 2025, taking over the space that had previously been the longtime home of Buffalo Wild Wings.
“After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close the doors of Urbana Lodge,” the restaurant announced. Ownership acknowledged that the concept “didn’t quite work out the way we had envisioned,” while thanking the neighbors, families and other customers who supported the restaurant during its run.
Urbana Lodge will hold a final-day promotion on September 27, offering 50% off its brunch and dinner buffets, normally priced at $24.99.
The space won’t remain vacant for long. The same ownership plans to transform the restaurant into Maharaja Palace, which is being described as a new “Royal Dining Experience” featuring aromatic spices and a variety of flavors.
Customers who visit Urbana Lodge on its final day will also receive $10 off their first dining experience at Maharaja Palace. An opening date for the new restaurant has not yet been announced.
