City of Frederick Launches Monthly Newsletters to Keep Residents and Businesses Informed

The City of Frederick is set to enhance communication with residents and businesses by launching a new monthly Community Newsletter, starting in December 2026. This initiative aims to provide a streamlined source of information regarding city news, updates on programs and services, upcoming events, and community initiatives.

Subscribers will have the option to receive the newsletter via email, text message, or both. Following the release of the Community Newsletter, a City Council newsletter will be distributed one week later, offering updates from each City Council member. This effort is designed to consolidate information from various city departments into a single, accessible resource, making it easier for residents to stay informed without navigating multiple platforms.

Residents interested in subscribing to both newsletters can do so through the City’s newly established communication page at frederickmd.gov/stay-informed. This page will also feature other city communication channels, including City and police NewsFlash alerts, City Minute videos, social media pages, and public meeting announcements.

The introduction of these newsletters reflects the City of Frederick’s commitment to providing timely and transparent communication to its constituents. Local residents are encouraged to subscribe and stay up-to-date with the latest developments within their community.
