The City of Frederick has announced the launch of its annual Community Priorities Survey and a series of town hall meetings aimed at gathering input from residents on legislative issues that will be brought to Annapolis and Washington. These initiatives are part of the city’s preparations for the upcoming 2027 Maryland General Assembly, which will convene from January 13 to April 12, 2027.
Residents are encouraged to participate in the Community Priorities Survey, which is available online at frederickmd.gov/priority-survey. The survey will remain open until October 31, 2026, and takes only a few minutes to complete. This survey is an important tool for residents to express the issues they feel should be prioritized in legislative discussions.
In addition to the survey, the City of Frederick will hold three town hall meetings, where city officials will discuss the legislative process and gather direct feedback from the community. Each meeting will present the same information, allowing residents to choose the one that best fits their schedules. The first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Trinity Housing and Human Services. The second will take place on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Whitaker Commons at Hood College, while the third meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 6:00 PM at First Missionary Baptist Church.
