Fractured Prune Doughnuts has permanently closed its Frederick location at 1202 E. Patrick St., according to a report by MoCo Show.
The made-to-order doughnut shop had served the Frederick community for more than two decades. Fractured Prune was known for allowing customers to customize hot doughnuts with a variety of glazes and toppings.
The owners reportedly decided to step away following the birth of their daughter, explaining that the demands of operating the shop required their attention every day and that their family needed a break. They thanked customers for their support and said they hope to return with another business in the future.
