Frederick County, Maryland, is excited to announce a free workshop for expecting parents titled “Preparing for Life’s Biggest Transitions.” Scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, this interactive session will take place at the C. Burr Artz Public Library. This workshop aims to equip parents-to-be with essential skills to navigate the challenges of pregnancy and early parenthood.
Hosted in collaboration with Inner Evolution, the workshop will focus on fostering a sense of calm, confidence, and connection among participants. Expecting parents will have the opportunity to practice relaxation techniques, manage stress, and learn about mental health during pregnancy and postpartum. The workshop will not only address what is considered normal during this life stage but also when to seek additional support, ensuring parents feel prepared for the journey ahead.
In addition to personal development, the workshop will provide information about Family Connects Frederick County, a valuable service offering at-home nurse visits for newborns around three weeks of age. This service is available to all Frederick County residents, regardless of insurance coverage, and is designed to support families with tailored health and community resources during a crucial time.
