Sardi’s Peruvian Chicken is continuing to grow its presence in Frederick County with the opening of its second county location this weekend, according to Montgomery County news site Moco Show.
The restaurant announced it will officially open its newest location at 5722 Buckeystown Pike on Sunday, July 12. The new restaurant joins Sardi’s first Frederick County location at 50 N. McCain Drive, giving the popular Peruvian chicken chain two locations serving Frederick.
Founded in 2008, Sardi’s has built a loyal following for its authentic pollo a la brasa, a traditional Peruvian rotisserie chicken known for its distinctive seasoning and charcoal-roasted flavor. The restaurant also offers a variety of Peruvian-inspired dishes, homemade sauces, sandwiches, wraps, salads, and family meals.
The company was founded by cousins Phil E. Sardelis and Phil G. Sardelis, who opened the first Sardi’s in Beltsville after developing a passion for Peruvian cuisine. Although the founders are of Greek heritage, they traveled to Peru to recruit experienced chefs and ensure the restaurant stayed true to traditional recipes.
Today, Sardi’s operates locations across Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, serving millions of customers each year while emphasizing fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, and community involvement.
The Buckeystown Pike restaurant marks the latest expansion for the growing regional chain and provides another convenient option for Frederick-area residents looking for Peruvian-style rotisserie chicken and other signature favorite.
