Engaging Young Minds at Elementary Explorers Event
Frederick County, Maryland – On Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 2 PM to 3 PM, the Thurmont Regional Library will host an exciting event designed for children in grades K-5. The Elementary Explorers program aims to inspire young learners through hands-on experiences in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM).
This engaging initiative offers a variety of activities that encourage creativity and critical thinking among elementary-aged children. Participants will have the opportunity to delve into different aspects of STEAM, fostering a love for learning and exploration in a supportive environment. The program is particularly tailored for homeschoolers, but all are welcome to join in the fun and discovery.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring their children to the Community Room at the Thurmont Regional Library, where a team of facilitators will guide the young explorers through interactive activities. This event not only promotes educational enjoyment but also serves as a valuable opportunity for children to socialize and collaborate with their peers.
