The Middletown 50+ Community Center is currently closed due to storm damage sustained over the weekend, leaving the facility without electricity. As a result, all scheduled classes and programs for today have been canceled, and the building will remain inaccessible to the public until further notice.

Local seniors are encouraged to participate in virtual programming or visit other community centers located in Brunswick, Emmitsburg, Frederick, and Urbana. These centers continue to offer various activities and resources to support the senior community during this time.

At this moment, it is unclear when the Middletown center will reopen. For updates on programming and services available at the other centers, residents are advised to visit www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/Aging or contact the office at 301-600-1234.
