FREDERICK, Md. – Residents of Frederick County are invited to participate in two upcoming informational open houses focused on the regulation of data center development in the area. County Executive Jessica Fitzwater emphasizes that these sessions will provide an invaluable opportunity for community members to engage directly with officials, ask questions, and gain insight into the County’s efforts to address community concerns.
The open houses are scheduled for the following dates and locations:
- Wednesday, September 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Claggett Center, located at 3035 Buckeystown Pike, Adamstown, MD 21710.
- Wednesday, September 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Urbana Volunteer Fire Department’s banquet hall, situated at 3602 Urbana Pike, Frederick, MD 21704.
At the open houses, various County agencies will host informational tables, where attendees can learn how their work relates to data center oversight. Notably, representatives from the Maryland Department of the Environment will be present at the September 2 meeting. An American Sign Language interpreter will also be available at both events, ensuring accessibility for all residents.
