The Frederick County Council is set to hold a public hearing on a proposed budget adjustment on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will take place in the First Floor Hearing Room at Winchester Hall, located at 12 East Church Street in Frederick. The hearing will address a supplemental appropriation from the County Executive’s Office concerning the General Fund balance.
The proposed adjustment, detailed in Budget Journal Number J-27-068, includes a supplemental appropriation totaling $8,847,605.22 for Fiscal Years 2027-2032. This funding is earmarked for two major projects: $7,094,902.29 for the VESTA 911 Console System Upgrade (Project #26-299) and an additional $1,752,702.93 for another phase of the same upgrade (Project #26-299A).
