Reminder: Community Meeting Scheduled to Discuss Transmission Line Project – Frederick Pulse

FREDERICK, Md. – Frederick County Executive Jessica Fitzwater reminds residents of an upcoming community meeting she is convening on the proposed Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project. The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, in the auditorium of Oakdale High School, and end no later than 10 p.m.

County Executive Fitzwater will provide opening remarks, followed by brief remarks by County Council President Brad Young. A representative from the Public Service Enterprise Group, which is managing the project, will present information and answer questions.

Questions may be submitted in advance by texting “MPRP” to 73224. They can also be submitted online through Frederick County’s public engagement portal at PublicInput.com/MPRP .

“Right now, our residents have more questions than answers,” County Executive Fitzwater said when announcing the meeting. “That’s why the County Council and I called on PSEG to conduct a more transparent and inclusive public process and be responsive to the input received from Frederick County residents.”
