Frederick County Government has announced that nighttime road work is scheduled for Mountville Road at the intersection with US 15, also known as Catoctin Mountain Highway. The project is set to begin on Friday, October 9, at 9:00 p.m. and is anticipated to conclude in the early hours of Saturday, October 10.
As part of the road work, the eastbound lane of Mountville Road, located east of US 15, will be closed to traffic. Flaggers will be present to direct vehicles through the work zone, and motorists are advised to exercise caution and expect delays while navigating the intersection.
The county stated that the improvements being made will enhance the roadside area, contributing to better road surface performance and longevity. Residents are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly to avoid disruptions during the construction period.
For further information regarding the road work, residents may contact Brad Fisher, Construction Manager in the Office of Construction Inspection, at 240-674-6820.
