R.E.A.D.® with Wags for Hope at Brunswick Branch Library

Frederick County families are invited to participate in a unique educational opportunity designed for children ages 5 to 10. The R.E.A.D.® (Reading Education Assistance Dogs) program will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Brunswick Branch Library. This engaging event allows young readers to practice their skills in a supportive environment with the help of patient and friendly Reading Education Assistance Dogs.

The program is specifically tailored for children in grades K-5, providing an enjoyable way for them to enhance their reading abilities. Children will have the chance to read aloud to trained therapy dogs, which helps to boost their confidence and improve literacy skills. This innovative approach not only makes reading fun but also fosters a love for books among young learners in our community.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to sign up their children for this event, which falls under the categories of Education & Enjoyment and Homeschool activities. The R.E.A.D. program is a fantastic option for families looking to enrich their children’s educational experiences outside of the traditional classroom setting.
