The City of Frederick offices will be closed to observe Juneteenth on Thursday, June 19, 2025, and some service schedules will change.
Trash Collection
Residential:
There will be no trash collection service on Thursday, June 19, 2025.If you normally set out your household trash on Wednesday evening for Thursday collection, please set your trash out on Thursday evening for Friday collection.Do not set yard waste out for collection.All other trash routes are as scheduled.
Yard Waste Collection
Residential:
There will be no yard waste collection for Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC) 8 on Thursday, June 19, 2025. NAC 8 yard waste collection will resume the regular schedule on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
Business District:
Commercial Downtown Business trash will be collected on the normal schedule.
Recycling
Commercial Business Recycling Service (not residential): No change in service. Residential Recycling: Refer to the Frederick County Recycling holiday schedule at: https://www.frederickcountymd.gov/1764/Recycling-Information
Department of Housing and Human Services
HHS offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025. The Community Table and Summer Food Service program will remain open.
Parking
Meters and garages will be free on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
