Event Aims to Strengthen Local Childcare Workforce
FREDERICK, Md. – Job seekers and employers are invited to attend Frederick County Workforce Services’ Childcare & Youth Services Job Fair on Wednesday, June 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 200 Monroe Avenue, Frederick, MD. This free event supports the Frederick County Child Care Initiative and is designed to connect job seekers with employers in the childcare and youth services sectors.
“Working families rely on reliable, affordable childcare. This new initiative supports parents by expanding childcare options and creates new career opportunities for those who want to enter or advance in the field,” County Executive Jessica Fitzwater said. “By investing in our childcare workforce, we are strengthening Frederick County’s future – helping families, businesses, and our entire community to thrive.”
For Employers Licensed daycare centers, before- and after-school programs, summer camps, and school-based youth programs are invited to host a table and promote current employment opportunities. This event provides an ideal setting to meet passionate candidates who are ready to make a difference in the lives of children, youth, and families.
A special preview hour from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. will be reserved for job seekers who are currently enrolled in or have recently completed training in child development or education. From 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the event will be open to all job seekers with an interest in childcare or youth services.
