FREDERICK, Md. – Frederick County Executive Jessica Fitzwater today announced $1.2 million in awards to 32 local nonprofit organizations through the Community Partnership Grant program. This program awards competitive grants to nonprofit organizations. Priority areas for funding support one of four areas: Addressing Homelessness and Housing Solutions; Quality of Life; Public Health; and Supporting the Arts. County Council President Brad Young and Vice President Kavonté Duckett joined Executive Fitzwater to unveil the list of grant recipients.
“Frederick County has an amazingly strong nonprofit network,” County Executive Fitzwater said. “Partnering with our nonprofits results in big impacts for our community. Together, we can provide more services to more people, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.”
Grant funding will be used to provide critical home repairs for low-income seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities; offer life skills for youth experiencing homelessness; deliver medical and dental care to those in need; offer shelter and counseling for victims of domestic violence; and more services that make a difference to people in our community.
Local nonprofit organizations applied for a total of 61 grants requesting nearly $3 million. Independent review panels made recommendations to the County Executive. A full list of the grantees is available online at www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/CPGAwardsFY26.
