Public Invited to Provide Input on Child Care Needs in Frederick County – Frederick Pulse

FREDERICK, Md. – Members of the community are invited to take an online survey to share feedback on child care needs and choices in Frederick County. Results of the survey will help the County identify viable solutions for expanding child care services to better support underserved communities.

The survey is available online and is available in a variety of languages, including Spanish. To access the survey, visit www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/ChildCareSurvey

This survey is part of an ongoing comprehensive Child Care Study being conducted by the Divisions of Family Services and Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Public Consulting Group (PCG). The goal of the study is to fully assess the accessibility, affordability, and quality of child care in the County for families with children aged birth to 12.

The study is being conducted through a series of surveys, focus groups, and interviews. Community members will have an opportunity to provide input around the initial findings through upcoming community engagement sessions. Results of the study will be compiled into a final report, which will include actionable recommendations for the County’s consideration.

Public participation is critical to the study’s success and will help shape the future of the children in our community. It is important that people who live in Frederick County with children aged birth to 12 years old complete the survey and participate in focus groups.
