The City of Frederick Department of Public Works is excited to announce its upcoming Freecycle Roundup event, scheduled for Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 8 AM to 2 PM. This event is free, offers City residents a unique opportunity to dispose of bulk items at no cost, promoting recycling and reducing the number of reusable items that end up in the Frederick County landfill.
The Freecycle Roundup will take place at the Public Works Complex located at 111 Airport Drive East, Frederick, Maryland 21701. Residents are encouraged to bring a variety of items, including:
FurnitureAppliancesBicyclesLarge toys and swing setsMattresses and box springs (limit 3 per household)Mowers, weed eaters, and trimmers (fluids removed)Grills (no tanks)
All items must be less than 7 feet in length, and no bags of trash will be accepted.
In addition to the bulk item drop-off, local charitable organizations will be on-site to accept donations of clothes, purses, belts, shoes, books, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, furniture, electronics, computer equipment, TVs, and plastics. Document shredding services will also be available.
