Traffic Advisory: Frederick Pride Parade and Festival – Frederick Pulse

The Frederick Police Department is preparing for a weekend of celebration as the City of Frederick hosts its annual Pride events, including a parade on Friday and the Frederick Pride Festival on Saturday. Community members and visitors should anticipate road closures, increased foot traffic, and potential travel delays throughout the downtown area.

Frederick Pride Parade – Friday, June 27, 2025 | 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.The Pride Parade will begin at 7:00 p.m. on South Carroll Street and proceed northbound to East Patrick Street, westbound on East Patrick, northbound on North Market Street, then westbound on West 2nd Street, concluding at the bandshell in Baker Park.Large crowds are expected, and Frederick Police Officers will be on site to direct traffic and ensure public safety. Motorists can expect significant delays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and are encouraged to use alternate routes during this time.

Frederick Pride Festival – Saturday, June 28, 2025 | 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.The Frederick Pride Festival will take place along Carroll Creek Linear Park and is expected to draw more than 20,000 attendees. A road closure will be in effect on South East Street between East All Saints and East Patrick Streets from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Officers will be on site monitoring the event and assisting with traffic control throughout the day.

To accommodate festivalgoers, a flat rate of $10 will be in effect for all downtown parking decks on Saturday, June 28. Pedestrian access to the festival area will remain open throughout the day.

With hot weather expected, all attendees are encouraged to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to avoid heat-related illness.
