The Maryland Transit Administration is planning to replace all of the timber crossties through the railroad crossing and make grade adjustments to address settlement of the at-grade crossing panels within the Monocacy Blvd right-of-way. To perform this essential maintenance work, a temporary roadway closure of Monocacy Blvd from E. South Street to East Street will be necessary.
The closure is scheduled to begin at 10:00 PM on February 21, 2025, and is expected to last until 3:00 AM on February 24, 2025. This expedited weekend schedule is designed to minimize disruption to the community while ensuring the safety and efficiency of the maintenance work.
