Liberal Leave in Effect for Frederick County Employees Beginning at 1 p.m. – Frederick Pulse

FREDERICK, Md. – Frederick County Government will offer liberal leave for employees beginning at 1 p.m. due to winter weather conditions that are expected to impact the evening commute. 

While most County operations will continue as normal, some services and facilities will be operating on a modified schedule due to weather conditions. Modifications to today’s schedule include: 

The County Council meeting will be canceled. All branches of Frederick County Public Libraries will close at 5 p.m. Family Partnership will end programming for participants at 12 p.m. Affected participants will be transported home at 12 p.m. and the change does not affect any other participants. Administrative offices will remain open. The Emmitsburg and Brunswick Senior Centers will close 1 p.m. The Urbana Senior Center will close at 3 p.m. All virtual programming scheduled for this afternoon and the afternoon fitness class scheduled at the Frederick Senior Center will be canceled. The Division of Planning and Permitting will close at 1 p.m. The Treasury Department will close at 1 p.m.   Workforce Services will close at 1 p.m.
