Frederick Police Department Releases 2024 Annual Report – Frederick Pulse

The Frederick Police Department is proud to release its 2024 Annual Report, a comprehensive look at the department’s commitment to public safety, innovation, and community engagement over the past year.

In 2024, FPD responded to 83,274 calls for service, demonstrating a proactive approach to policing and dedication to the Frederick community. Beyond the numbers, this report highlights the department’s expanding initiatives, investments in officer wellness, and efforts to build stronger relationships with residents.

Key Highlights from 2024:

Investing in Mental Health & Crisis Response: The Crisis Response Team (CRT) continues to provide critical support for individuals in crisis, pairing officers with behavioral health professionals to ensure compassionate and effective responses. In 2024, The Crisis Response Team responded to 246 calls for service. Strengthening Community Trust: The Multi-Cultural Liaison Unit (MCLU) deepened connections with diverse communities, fostering open dialogue and cultural understanding. Expanding Officer Wellness & Training: Recognizing that healthy officers make safer communities, FPD launched its first-ever Resiliency & Wellness Coach and implemented Struggle Well training to support officers’ mental and physical health. Preparing for the Future: With the move to a new state-of-the-art headquarters in 2025, FPD is committed to enhancing operational efficiency and public accessibility.
