Frederick Police Arrest Child Pornography Suspect – Frederick Pulse

In September 2024, Detective DeWees of the Frederick Police Department began an investigation involving internet crimes against children (ICAC). The suspect in the investigation was identified as, Daniel Patrick Vandervossen.

During the investigation, Detective DeWees authored and was granted search and seizure warrants for Vandervossen’s residence and vehicle. On October 16, 2024, members of the Frederick Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit executed those search and seizure warrants, where evidence was collected.

Mr. Vandervossen was taken into custody and transported to the Frederick Count Adult Detention Center for processing. Mr. Vandervossen was seen by the district court commissioner and released on an unsecured $5,000 personal bond.
