FREDERICK, Md. – Members of the community are invited to attend Frederick County Government’s annual Black History Month celebration on Thursday, February 20 from 6 – 7 p.m. at Winchester Hall, 12 E. Church Street in Frederick.
The 2025 Black History Month national theme is African Americans and Labor. The upcoming event will highlight the profound ways that work of all kinds intersects with the collective experiences of Black people. The family-friendly celebration will feature a proclamation from County Executive Jessica Fitzwater, as well as special speakers and performances that highlight the rich history, culture, and contributions of Black Americans.
No registration is required for attendance. For those who cannot attend in person, the event will be livestreamed on FCG TV and the recording will be available for later viewing at www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/FCGTV.
