The Department of Public Works has announced a temporary closure of a section of North East Street to allow for essential infrastructure improvements.
Closure Details:Beginning Monday, June 23, 2025, North East Street will be closed to through traffic between East 13th Street and Delaware Road to accommodate the installation of a 60-inch storm drain pipe. The closure is expected to continue through Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
A signed detour route will be in place to help guide motorists safely around the construction zone. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted signage, and allow additional travel time.
This project is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to improve stormwater management and strengthen local infrastructure to serve residents and businesses better.
