County Sponsors Veterans Appreciation Day – Frederick Pulse

Event Slated for Saturday at Prospect Center

FREDERICK, Md. – Frederick County veterans of all ages are invited to the inaugural Veterans Appreciation Day this Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free family-friendly celebration will honor the approximately 17,000 veterans who live in Frederick County. Music, food, door prizes, and other entertainment will be available throughout the event at the Prospect Center, located at 585 Himes Avenue in Frederick. Guests can explore local resources at the information and resource fair and participate in workshops. Doors open at 9:30 a.m., with an Opening Ceremony at 10 a.m. The event is co-sponsored by Frederick County Government, the Division of Aging and Independence, and the Frederick County Veterans Advisory Council.
