Beginning April 29th, significant roadwork will commence on Bowman’s Farm Road. This will necessitate the temporary closure of the road at the entrance to the Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA). The focus of this work is near the cul-de-sac on Bowmans Farm Road, with an estimated duration of approximately six weeks.
To ensure efficient traffic flow during this period, the contractor will open a new section of Airport Drive, starting from around the existing turnaround of Airport Drive and Control Tower Road. This new route will provide access to the lower end of Bowmans Farm Road.
The City urges all vehicles exiting the Department of Public Works (DPW) compound to come to a complete stop and exercise heightened caution when merging onto Airport Drive, anticipating increased traffic and pedestrian activity.
Following the completion of the roadwork, the newly opened section of Airport Drive will be temporarily closed until the necessary upgrades to the existing section, from DPW to Control Tower Road, are finalized.
