FREDERICK, MD – The Frederick County Division of Aging and Independence has announced the launch of a comprehensive 10-year strategic plan aimed at enhancing services for older adults, caregivers, Veterans, and individuals with disabilities. This initiative will be supported by MGT, a consulting firm renowned for its expertise in partnering with local governments.
To ensure the plan effectively meets community needs, the Division will facilitate a series of focus groups from late September to early October. These sessions will be an opportunity for residents, including older adults, caregivers, Veterans, and individuals with disabilities, to share their insights and perspectives. Additionally, a survey will be made available starting September 14, providing another avenue for community feedback.
Brad Peterson, Deputy Director of the Division of Aging and Independence, emphasized the importance of community involvement in the planning process. “This 10-year strategic plan is more than a roadmap-it’s a commitment to listening, learning, and responding to the needs of Frederick County’s older adults, caregivers, Veterans, and individuals with disabilities,” he stated. “By inviting community voices into this process, we’re ensuring that our programs and services reflect what matters most to those we serve, today and for the next decade.”
