The City of Frederick is pleased to announce a Community Meeting on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 6:00 PM. The meeting will take place at the Butterfly Ridge Elementary School Recreation Center, located at 601 Contender Way, Frederick, MD 21703. Residents are encouraged to enter through the Recreation Center entrance at the rear of the building.
This meeting marks an important step in the design phase of the Hill Street Skatepark project, where city officials will present updates on the proposed layout and design of the park. The City is actively seeking input from the community to ensure that the skatepark reflects the values and identity of the local neighborhood.
Community feedback is crucial for creating a space that serves the diverse interests of Frederick’s residents. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on various design elements, as well as ideas for public art and cultural representation within the skatepark. This collaborative approach aims to foster a sense of ownership and pride in the new space.
For those unable to attend in person, the meeting will also be livestreamed on the City’s website at cityoffrederickmd.gov/videos. This allows all community members to participate in the discussion and contribute to the vision of the Hill Street Skatepark, regardless of their ability to attend physically.
Join us in shaping a recreational space that truly represents and serves the Frederick community. Your voice matters!
